For this project, I was contacted by a company who wanted me to create 3D-printable models of helmet parts that they already had. They sent me the parts they wanted to reproduce, and I modeled the parts and sent them the digital files. One thing I really like about this project is that the company is utilizing 3D printing to reproduce parts consistently, something that I think more people should take advantage of. When you have a 3D model, you know that you can print it over and over and each print will be the same. Not to mention that 3D printing is often cheaper than other production options, which is part of what makes it so great!
